How will it work?
This free training is for professionals who are currently working full-time on climate action issues and whose climate work involves behavior change.
There will be 5 different sessions, delivered remotely across 10 weeks at your own pace. You will learn Behavior Design models and methods that Dr. BJ Fogg created over many years, and you’ll be guided in applying them to your work in climate action.
What is Behavior Design?
Behavior Design is a new approach to understanding human behavior and designing for behavior change. Based on the groundbreaking work of Dr. BJ Fogg, Behavior Design offers a comprehensive system of models and methods for creating solutions that help people with positive behavior change.
Ten years ago, our Stanford research team coined the phrase “Behavior Design” while creating the Behavior Wizard project. Today, the Stanford Behavior Design Lab is a research lab within H-STAR. H-STAR focuses on advancing the human sciences, often in the context of their application to the design and uses of information technologies and their influences on people, with a particular emphasis on education and learning.

Who is teaching?
Dr. BJ Fogg founded the Behavior Design Lab at Stanford University where he directs research and innovation. His research and innovation has been cited over 20,000 times,
BJ wrote a seminal book, Persuasive Technology: Using Computers to Change What We Think and Do, which prompted Fortune Magazine to name him a “New Guru You Should Know.”
